Virginia ‘Bena’ Lovato (1922–1997)

Virginia ‘Bena’ Lovato was born on February 24, 1922, in the town of Saguache, Colorado. Bena was a founding member of La Costura de Saguache and continued to do colcha embroidery with the CETA Program. Bena is remembered for her funny stories and kind demeanor.
