Delores Worley

Delores Worley was born on March 19, 1929 in Verdigre, Nebraska. Delores was a founding member of La Costura de Saguache. Her scrapbook, Así es la Colcha—which accompanies a community-made tapestry that hangs in the Saguache Public Library—has been instrumental in preserving and archiving the history of colcha embroidery in Saguache. “I dedicate this scrapbook to all who participated in the making of this masterpiece. The ladies were all friends of mine and I want them to be known and remembered as the special people that they were.”
